running 32-bit NPM on Linux 64-bit via 32-bit wine?

Hi! I’m wondering if anyone has been able to do this. I’ve been trying and I can’t seem to get NPM or NPX to work. I did however get node.exe to work (because it’s an exe file). I’ve noticed when downloading the 32-bit Windows file from https://nodejs.org/en/download/ (https://nodejs.org/dist/v10.16.3/node-v10.16.3-win-x86.zip) that the npm is simply a script and not an exe. Any pointers how to get this to work with wine?

I currently get the error message in wine:

Step 18/21 : RUN WINEPREFIX="$HOME/wine32" WINEARCH=win32 wine node/npm.cmd --version
 ---> Running in 64db2ca9937f
wine: Bad EXE format for Z:\srv\node\npm.cmd.

In case you are trying something wildly indirect, you do know you can run node and npm and npx natively on Linux?
