NPM running on CMD is not respecting .npmrc
What I Wanted to Do
npm install and use .npmrc registry configuration.
What Happened Instead
The command runs successfully, but it does not respect .npmrc registry configuration and it also updates package-lock.json registry properties.
- Open a CMD window
We use JFrog as private registry and set it on .npmrc.
It is working fine using git-bash instead CMD.
Windows 7 64bits
$ npm --versions <!-- paste output here --> 5.6.0 $ node -p process.platform 8.11.3 <!-- paste output here -->
this is a bit thin on details, such as where you’re trying to put your
.npmrc, how you’re determining that it’s the npmrc itself that isn’t working, etc. Can you provide a more complete/thorough/isolated set of repro steps?
