NPM run watch freezes

(James Bailey) #1

What I Wanted to Do

VS-Code, or CMD terminal(both) npm run watch. The packages are on a mapped server folder. I also tried npm run watch directly on server in folder with a bit different results(see below)

What Happened Instead

after 2-5 runs of script (after file changes) npm run watch locks up, have to ctrl-c, and re-run watch.,

on server, I can just hit the enter button and it will run

Reproduction Steps

Laravel - 5.6 mix and 10 componets written in vue. seems to do it.

Details

No pertinant log file created. npm just freezes

Does it work if you run your watch script directly? You will need to prefix your package binaries with .\node_modules\.bin.
