npm install of haraka from github ends up with a missing "bin/haraka" which is present in source

What I Wanted to Do

install haraka from github: npm i 'haraka/Haraka' -g --no-bin-links

without --no-bin-links the install will fail which is likely caused by the missing bin/haraka

What Happened Instead

bin/haraka is missing from the installation directory

Reproduction Steps

  1. run npm i 'haraka/Haraka' -g --no-bin-links
  2. look for bin/haraka in the install dir (~/.nvm/versions/node/v10.13.0/lib/node_modules/Haraka/ for me)

Details

reproduces consistently on Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04, haven’t tried other OSes

They had “Haraka” in .gitignore, which in git does not match bin/haraka, but npm was deleting .gitignored files when doing a git install and doing it incorrectly (case insensitively)
