Need help with npm install command
I have forked a repo to my github account. I want to test some changes in pkg source, so need to install it using npm install <*****>. on linux.
Earlier I used to download it using *npm install firstname.lastname@example.org. Since now I have local repo I need to use git url in npm install command.
As per the documentation of npm we can install any package using git URL, so I tried to do it as below:
npm install https://github.com/<githubname>/pkg , but I am unable to install it.
Install fails with error “
enoent ENOENT: no such file or directory, chmod '/home/test/build/maxctrl/node_modules/pkg/lib-es5/bin.js’”
Your pointers in resolving this will be helpful in successful installations. Please provide your comments on correct installation using git URL.
