Would you please attach the log file? (Although based on how little output there was in your screenshot, I fear it may not have much more info in it!)

I’ve been having a similar issue I think. I’m new to all of this but I keep getting a similar error message while trying to install gulp globally.

gulp

npm install gulp

@EliHaftmann
Your issue is a known problem with file ownership being broken by past uses of sudo with global installs (and does not affect Windows). This was fixed in: Release: 6.10.2

The quick fix is:

sudo chown -R $USER ~/.npm

Thanks for the help! But I’m getting a new error message now.

iPros-MBP:~ Eli$ sudo chown -R eli ~/.npm Password: usage: chown [-fhv] [-R [-H | -L | -P]] owner[:group] file ... chown [-fhv] [-R [-H | -L | -P]] :group file ... iPros-MBP:~ Eli sudo npm install -gulp --global

(@EliHaftmann please open a new issue, since this is unrelated to the problem that started this topic. I’ll stop contributing to the thread hi–hacking myself! :slightly_smiling_face: )
