Installing image-webpack-loader: cb() never called!

What I Wanted to Do

npm install image-webpack-loader --save-dev

What Happened Instead

Unhandled rejection Error: EACCES: permission denied, mkdir '/home/baloe/.npm/_cacache/content-v2/sha1/bf/98's

npm ERR! cb() never called!

upgrading npm to the most recent version did the trick.

sudo npm install -g npm@latest

There were permission fixes in: Release: 6.10.2

If you have not already, run this one last time to fix up past permission issues:

sudo chown -R $USER ~/.npm
