What I Wanted to Do

Run npm install in my repo and have it install all the dependencies and link all the file: references.

What Happened Instead

Lots of ENOENT warnings about files in node_modules/.staging and ultimately a Cannot read property 'raw' of undefined error.

Reproduction Steps

  1. npx degit tivac/modular-css modular-css
  2. cd modular-css
  3. npm install

I originally got the error in my development repo, but I’m getting the same issue if I follow these simpler repro steps.

Here’s another log from me attempting to repro locally.

(Pat Cavit) #3

Quick Update. I decided to try installing all my dependencies by removing everything and installing them one-by-one. I had to remove and re-add them in differing orders multiple times to get it to work. Eventually I got back to where I was previously with all my dependencies installed!

ಠ_ಠ

This obviously won’t scale long-term, but it’s something.
